Wallena Gould, CRNA, EdD, is the founder and chair of the Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program (www.diversitycrna.org) and a member of Minority Nurse’s editorial advisory board. Walter Brooks is a media specialist in the Public Affairs Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Wanda R. Sparks

Recently concluding a two-year study supporting the completion of her dissertation, Wanda R. Sparks is a member of the adjunct faculty at San Antonio College in Texas. She holds a Ph.D. in organizational leadership, a master’s in adult health nursing with a concentration in administration, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is also a major in the United States Air Force Reserves.

Winnona Coleman, M.S.N., R.N. and Cassandra James, M.S.N., R.N.

Winnona Coleman, M.S.N., R.N., is currently employed as a staff nurse on an inpatient behavioral health unit at The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, Connecticut. Cassandra James, M.S.N., R.N., is currently a staff nurse on a medical surgical floor at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Both are recent graduates of the University of Hartford’s graduate nursing program, with a concentration in public health.
