Three Planned Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Information Session Luncheons
Hello Everyone! As the Founder and President of the Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program (DNAMP), please join us for one of three Information Session Luncheons!
The DNAMP Information Session Luncheon is open to any CRNA, current or prospective Nurse Anesthesia Student, Registered Nurse and or Nursing Student. The admission and selection process, rigors of the program, clinical and didactic component, balancing family and finances, AANA Conferences, Board preparation, credentialing process, active role in state and national anesthesia associations and possible faculty positions will be discussed. There is a panel that includes several knowledgeable professionals from various branches of the field. The registration form can be accessed from the DNAMP website, www.diversitycrna.org.
The first DNAMP Information Session Luncheon will be held on March 21, 2009 at Rutgers University/Camden Campus. For out of town guest, per the website, Holiday Inn Hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ has a reduced rate of $99 and the nearest airport is Philadelphia International. The guest speaker will be Frank Purcell, BS (AANA Senior Federal Affairs Director). The deadline to register is March 7, 2009.
The second DNAMP Information Sesssion Luncheon will be held on April 25, 2009 at USC (Los Angeles, CA). The deadline for registering will be April 15, 2009. Please refer to the website next week for the registration form. The guest speaker will be Dr. Francis Gerbasi, CRNA (AANA Director of Education and Accreditation).
The third DNAMP Information Session Luncheon will be held on October 10, 2009 at Barry University (Florida), exact location to be announced. The guest speaker will be Jeffrey Beutler, CRNA, MS (AANA Executive Director).
You will have an opportunity to meet minority CRNAs, Nurse Anesthesia Students and Registered Nurses at all three events. I will be there for each event and know that you will be inspired to become a Nurse Anesthetist!!!
