Under the direction of the Patient Service Manager (PSM), the Assistant Patient Service Manager (APSM) is responsible for ensuring high quality, safe, reliable, and efficient patient care in a defined functional area of patient services. The APSM uses managerial, interpersonal, and clinical skills to model, motivate, and monitor team performance resulting in superior quality, service, and financial outcomes. Responsibilities and accountabilities are held on a 24/7 basis.

Patient Services Manager

The position is responsible for two nursing units, Hematology (malignant Heme, BMT and Sickle Cell) and Solid Tumor Oncology. Reporting to the Smilow Cancer Hospital Clinical Program Director, partners with physician leadership and collaborates with other members of the Smilow leadership team to ensure seamless delivery of patient-centered multidisciplinary inpatient care characterized by superior patient and staff outcomes and cost efficiency.

Neurobehavioral Program

Our Neurobehavioral program is for patients with traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries, which may include aneurysm, anoxia, and tumors. Hospital for Special Care’s interdisciplinary care focuses on cognitive and physical rehabilitation through individual and group treatment sessions.

Hartford Hospital, Central Connecticut’s leading tertiary and level 1 trauma medical center is looking for 2 full-time Master’s prepared Certified Nurse Midwives to join our growing 4 CNM hospital based practice. Excellent opportunity to be part of a new community of nurse midwives at Hartford Hospital in CT. The positions include 2 -12 hr shifts on Labor and Delivery, and 2 - 8 hrs days in our clinic. Currently it is a Monday-Friday position and no on- call hours. During the 12 hour shift, responsibilities include caring for triage and laboring women.
