Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Associate Degree Nursing at Eastern Kentucky University is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor beginning August 2010. Responsibilities include teaching Adult Nursing content in the classroom, laboratory and clinical settings at the undergraduate level; advising undergraduate students; pursuing scholarly activities; and participating in the functions of the University. Requires an MSN by the time of appointment from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution.

The new UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital is scheduled for completion in 2011 and a new academic health center will help fuel the University’s Top 20 Business Plan. The College of Nursing undergraduate program’s graduates are sought by area hospitals and have had an average first-time NCLEX pass rate of 97 percent for the past nine years. The College recently doubled the number of undergraduate students but with added faculty, clinical groups have been kept small for optimal learning.
