Our Stroke Center is Rhode Island's first acute stroke team - a team of clinicians experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke who are available around-the-clock for stroke emergencies. We are currently seeking experienced nurses for the evening and night shifts; 12-hour shifts are available. The department is staffed by 11 emergency services board certified physicians and about 40 nurses, and serves on average over 140 patients per day, treating a full spectrum of adult and pediatric illnesses. The Miriam Hospital hosts an on-site bachelor's program and on-site clinical nurse leader master's program. We offer ongoing education, a nurse educator dedicated to the emergency department and a convenient location off I-95 with free parking.
