This position requires 24 hour, 7 days a week accountability for the Med Surg Stroke Unit. Responsible for the daily operations, implementation and development of programs and procedures. Oversees all unit activities to include patient, physician and employee satisfaction. Monitors quality of care through the review and evaluation of patient satisfaction scores and well as Employee Satisfaction. Is responsible for all Performance Improvement, Risk Management and Joint Commission goals for the unit. Reviews and evaluates unit policies, procedures and protocols and standards of patient care. Plans and manages the unit budget for both salaried and no salaried, capital expenditures. Will be responsible for overall performance management, of staff to include, reward and recognition programs, recruitment and retention and the application of personnel policies and procedures. Will participate in the development and attainment of hospital goals through the Annual Operating Plan.
