UCSF School of Nursing is seeking qualified candidates for two clinical faculty positions in the Department of Community Health Systems. General responsibilities include clinical and didactic teaching; participation in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum; coordination of clinical placements and the recruitment, selection and supervision of clinical instructors/preceptors; and potential participation in faculty practice(s). Percent time spent in the position is negotiable, but will be more than half-time and up to 100%. Position 1 seeks a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing graduate program.
Position 2 seeks a Nurse Practitioner with experience in adult primary care and/or occupational health settings for the Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing graduate program.
Successful candidates will have the following knowledge, skills, abilities/competencies, and professional attributes: Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing:
• Registered nurse, eligible for licensure and NP certification in California • National Certification as a PMHNP (prefer Family PMHNP certification) or certification within 1 year of employment • Master’s or clinical doctorate degree in nursing • Professional experience of at least 2 years providing mental health nursing care to individuals across the lifespan, especially children and adolescents • Academic and clinical teaching experience, including experience teaching physical and mental health assessment skills, preferred but not required
Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing:
• Registered nurse, eligible for licensure and NP certification in California • National Certification as an ANP or certification within one year of employment • Master's or clinical doctorate degree in nursing • Professional experience of at least 2 years in adult primary care and/or occupational health settings • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or COHN-S preferred • Nurse Practitioner teaching experience preferred but not required
