The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences Department of Nursing Education seeks applications for two (2) faculty positions within the Department of Nursing at the instructor, assistant or associate professor level to join our energetic, creative faculty and growing Doctor of Nursing Practice program.

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have teaching experience and evidence of research and scholarship. The successful candidate hired at the Assistant/Associate level will have an earned a doctorate in nursing or a closely related field. ABD’s will be considered for an appointment at the rank of Instructor only.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who have teaching and research experience in areas including, but not limited to, primary care, nurse practitioner, end-of-life care, gerontology, clinical research administration, leadership, informatics, quality management, and translational research. Demonstrated use of and a commitment to technology and Web-based teaching is also preferred.

These are 12-month positions. Rank, salary, and employment in either a tenure or non-tenure track faculty positions will be commensurate with experience. Review of applications will begin July 31, 2008, and continue until the positions are filled.
