Job Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructs practical nursing students in theory, skills, and clinicals. Assists in planning curriculum content, and in developing course structure according to the Rules and Regulations, State of Ohio Board of Nursing Education and Nurse Registration. Conducts Program Evaluation of the practical nurse program. Serves on the Admission & Progression Committee for the practical nurse program. Participates in advising and guiding students. Orients practical nursing students to the program and affiliating agencies. Assists in coordinating classroom work with clinical experience. Maintains student records. Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Graduate of an approved professional nursing education program Current, active, unencumbered/unrestricted licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio A minimum of two years experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse Thorough knowledge of principles and techniques of basic nursing, including maternal-child nursing Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population Ability to work a combination of day/evening/weekend schedules Proficiency in word-processing and presentation software, Internet and email Visit our website at www.tri-c.edu/employment to view a complete job posting and benefits, select “Jobs and Careers @ Tri-C” then select Search for Employment Opportunities for more information regarding this position.
