The University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Nursing invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position (PVL# 80131) to begin July 1, 2015 (anticipated date). The position requires an MS in nursing and PhD in nursing or related field; postdoctoral training is preferred. Eligibility for RN licensure in Wisconsin is required. Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate research and teaching experience. We seek candidates with active programs of research in areas consistent with national nursing, public health nursing, or health care priorities. Experience in an academic health center environment is strongly preferred. For appointments at the rank of associate or full professor, credentials must correspond with those of the tenured faculty position at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Principal duties: A full range of research, teaching, and service commensurate with the tenure-track position is required. A fundable research program is expected. Responsibilities include teaching in the graduate and/or undergraduate nursing programs as well as involvement in continuing education activities; graduate student advising and research mentoring of PhD students; and serving on school and university committees, commensurate with appointment. Qualified candidates will be regional or national leaders in their area of expertise.
