Become part of the dynamic efforts to re-envision nursing and health care in Louisiana. This Endowed Research Chair will provide research leadership to improve healthcare in a post-Katrina environment still recovering from damage. The Endowed Research Chair, working closely with nursing faculty and partnering with area hospitals, will establish programs of study that are inclusive of the vulnerable groups represented in this underserved and medically needy area. Minimum Qualifications
●Earned doctoral degree and current or eligible for licensure as Registered Nurse in Louisiana
●National certification in respective clinical nursing specialty preferred
●Established program of extramurally funded nursing research
●Record of or potential to secure high level NIH funding or other similar extramural funding
●History of scholarly leadership on nursing editorial boards, professional associations, or advisory boards
●A curriculum vitae or portfolio that demonstrates a record of research and scholarship
