The School Director will lead the School of Nursing, one of the founding Schools in The University of Akron's College of Health Professions. This individual will also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Professor. This individual is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the School as well as having administrative responsibilities within the College. This person will also maintain budget responsibility for the school, establish productive relationships on-campus and within the local community as well as with the School's donor community and alumni. A commitment to inter-professional collaboration and curricular development is expected. Additionally, The Director's primary goal is the efficient delivery of quality educational programs, research and scholarship, and faculty and student services to external communities.
The individual selected will have a PhD from an accredited institution, at least 5-years’ experience as a practicing, registered nurse, be eligible for RN licensure in the state of Ohio and spent at least 2 years as a faculty member in a registered nursing education program.
