NURSING SERVICES UNIT MANAGER,
Mental Health Unit
We currently seek a strong leader to take 24/7 responsibility for our busy locked Mental Health Unit (MHU), including planning, organizing and directing the operations, services and staff of the MHU, as well as ensuring outstanding patient care, preparing a variety of reports and correspondence, developing and implementing policies and protocols, and developing and monitoring the MHU's annual expense and revenue budget. You will also ensure that your unit meets all patient safety goals, quality assurance guidelines, and The Joint Commission, Department of Health and Human Services, and Federal and State laws and regulations.
To qualify, you must have a current CA RN licensure, 3 years of supervisory experience in a mental health unit, 5 years of clinical experience in a mental health unit and 10 years of nursing experience. Requires completion of coursework leading to a BSN or MSN as well (an MSN or MHA is preferred). Excellent management, mentoring, interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
