NURSING INSTRUCTOR
Three Full-Time Unlimited Positions

STARTING DATE: August 2009
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach in the two-year associate degree nursing program. Primary responsibilities include classroom lecture/demonstration, selecting, implementing and evaluating student clinical experiences, and demonstration and practice of selected clinical skills. Participation in discipline, division, campus and college matters through service on committees; attendance at regular meetings; and continued professional development are expected. Faculty hired may expect assignments to include evening and/or online sections. Successful candidates will possess and demonstrate the necessary skills and commitment that support one or more of the college’s strategic objectives.
These positions may serve on both the Cambridge and Coon Rapids campuses of ARCC, with two positions having a home campus in Cambridge and one position having a home campus in Coon Rapids.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completed master’s degree with a major in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty and one year of nursing experience at the professional level and meets the minimum qualifications for accreditation if required. Current Minnesota RN licensure. ( At time of hire)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Recent acute care, medical/surgical, nursing experience is highly desirable. A diverse clinical background is preferred. Preference is given to those who have experience using: 1) contemporary teaching and learning techniques; and 2) a variety of delivery methods, including but not limited to accelerated, web-supplemented, web-enhanced, and fully online courses. Previous teaching experience in Nursing is highly desired.
