Nursing Instructors
Inver Hills Community College in Minnesota seeks Nursing Instructors (one unlimited full-time position and three one year full-time positions) to team teach in an integrated Registered Nursing Program with emphasis on health, healing, and holistic nursing. The Nursing Program is jointly operated through a unique, cooperative agreement between Inver Hills Community College and Century Community College. Teaching responsibilities include assignments on both campuses and may include assignments in the clinical and hospital settings.
Faculty members at Inver Hills are professionally active scholars who participate in departmental and campus-wide activities to enhance their disciplines, promote interdisciplinary discourse and collaboration, and advance the college mission. Requirements:
• Master’s degree with a major in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty; and
• One year of nursing experience at the professional level.
Preferred:
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota; Teaching experience; Recent acute care medical surgical nursing experience; Experience with learning communities or team teaching; Experience in curriculum development; Experience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery, including online instruction; Experience developing and using student-centered, active and experiential learning strategies; Experience integrating cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives in course instruction; Experience assessing student academic achievement of campus-wide and classroom learning outcomes.
Dean of Allied Health Sciences
Inver Hills Community College also seeks a Dean of Allied Health Sciences to join our team of administrators to provide academic leadership to the college and administration of allied health and accredited programs. Inver Hills is a comprehensive two-year institution serving over 5000 students each semester. The Dean supervises approximately 60 faculty and staff, directs a variety of special projects, and reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Nursing; licensure as a Registered Nurse; 5 years of combined college-level teaching and/or academic or project leadership experience; collaborative management style; experience with quality improvement; commitment to the community college mission, the program accreditation process, Learning Communities, and assessment of student learning; experience in the integration of technology in the classroom and online learning.
Preferred: Doctorate in a related field or in Educational Leadership; higher education teaching experience with diverse student populations; experience with campus-wide student learning assessment and union contract administration.
