Highland Community College, a small and vibrant community college in the northwest corner of Illinois, within driving distance of Chicago and Madison, Wisconsin is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track nursing instructor to teach clinical and lecture courses beginning the Fall 2014 semester. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position, with the tenure decision in three years. Experience in med/surg preferred. This position will teach approximately 15 contact hours each semester (fall & spring sections), some courses online, and fulfill other duties included in a full-time faculty position.
Candidates must be qualified to teach in an Associate Degree nursing program. A Master’s degree in Nursing is required with focus in medical surgical education preferred. Experience in nursing education and curriculum development a plus. Online teaching experience preferred. Must be licensed in the State of Illinois or eligible for licensure.
