Carl Albert State College has an opening for a Nursing Instructor. This is a full-time position (10-month contract) for the Poteau campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Instruct nursing students in the classroom and campus laboratory. Supervise and evaluate students in clinical experiences for the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program (RN). Serve as academic advisor and faculty committee member. Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing curriculum. Travel required between Poteau and Sallisaw campuses and clinical sites.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching at the Associate Degree level of Nursing Education; Clinical expertise in medical, surgical and geriatric nursing; bi-lingual
Physical Requirements: Frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, squatting/kneeling, reaching upward and outward, and handling of papers and equipment. Close, color, and distance vision required. Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull 21-50 pounds.
Work Environment: Minimal exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals; exposure to fumes or airborne particles and moderate noise.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience + Benefit package offered, which includes employer-paid medical, dental and life insurance, retirement, and paid sick leave.
