The Nursing Department in the College of Natural & Health Sciences at The University of Tampa is seeking qualified candidates for a tenure track faculty position for a nurse practitioner with a specialty in gerontology starting August 2013.

A MSN and Ph.D. or other terminal degree in nursing are required. Florida Registered Nurse Licensure preferred. Two (2) years or more of clinical practice, preferably as a nurse practitioner with a specialty in gerontology. Evidence of teaching experience in an academic setting.

Candidates are expected to have a commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring student research, scholarly activity, and service within the environment of an undergraduate liberal arts institution.
A typical teaching load is 12 contact hours in a 14-week semester.
