St. Ambrose University welcomes applicants for two full time tenure track positions in the Nursing Department. One position will begin January, 2014, and the second position will begin August, 2014. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and/or experience in advanced medical surgical nursing, genetics/genomics, pathophysiology or aging, and be must willing to supervise student clinical experiences. Nursing is one of the University’s five health science departments. The candidate will be joining an engaged faculty housed in the new Center for Health Sciences Education. The nursing department offers a pre-licensure BSN degree and a RN to BSN completion degree. Our nursing programs are accredited by the Iowa Board of Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Candidates should have an earned terminal doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, DNP, ABD will be considered). All candidates must be licensed in or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Iowa. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching will enhance the candidate’s application.
