Nursing Faculty (tenure-track) (2 Positions) - The Dept. of Nursing is seeking 2 full-time faculty members (Assistant/Associate Professor) to teach in the pre-licensure baccalaureate program beginning Aug. '09.
Expertise in nursing assessment and/or other nursing specialty with current clinical experience in specialty area. Responsibilities include classroom teaching and clinical supervision of nursing students in clinical areas and teaching and evaluation in the nursing skills laboratory. Additional responsibilities include scholarship and professional development related to the teaching of and practice of nursing; advising nursing students; providing departmental/university support. Program is CCNE accredited. Required: Doctorate (ABD acceptable) in Nursing or related field, or Masters degree in Nursing and current national certification in specialty area; licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of MO (or ability to obtain this license). Prefer: Previous experience in teaching at the baccalaureate level; background in clinical and instructional technology. Candidates not meeting all requirements are encouraged to apply for a non-tenure track position.
