Nursing Faculty – Mental Health
(Ten-month Tenure-track)
Starting Salary Range: $52,731 - $60,641

RESPONSIBILITIES: The faculty member is responsible for teaching mental health and psychiatric nursing.
In addition, faculty members are expected to stay current in their disciplines and in teaching methodologies, implement changes in instruction based on assessment results, maintain reasonably distributed office hours, develop and revise curriculum, participate in a variety of college committees and task forces, participate in community service activities, and advise students as appropriate.
This is a 10-month, tenure-track position scheduled to begin August 2009. This position will be filled contingent upon funding.
REQUIREMENTS: MSN required; master's in psychiatric nursing preferred. A minimum of two years of clinical experience is required; previous experience as a nurse educator preferred. Candidates must be licensed nurses in Maryland or have the ability to be licensed. Preference will be given to candidates with curriculum development experience, demonstrated ability to evaluate student performance, experience with test item writing, and experience with instructional technology.
Candidates will be asked to validate teaching experience.
