We are located on a spectacular, 75-acre campus in Newport, RI, comprised of late nineteenth and early twentieth-century mansions and cottages and an Academic Center overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The Department of Nursing at Salve Regina University is a historic leader in nursing education with a reputation for graduating exceptional professional nurses. Currently, Salve Regina University is seeking qualified applicants for two new faculty members who are committed to excellence in teaching and enjoy developing and mentoring the professional nurses of the future.
Salve Regina University’s newly implemented undergraduate nursing curriculum is based on the Essentials for Baccalaureate Nursing Education (2008). A Master’s in Nursing program is also being explored here at Salve Regina. Faculty members teach in a personable environment of small classes and clinical groups – enabling them to know and have a quantifiable impact on the success of their students.
The members of the Department of Nursing are holistic in perspective and provide a supportive environment for colleagues from diverse backgrounds and professional experiences. Members of the faculty include advanced practice nurses in a variety of specialties, nursing administrators, nurse authors, and a Fulbright scholar. Opportunities exist for interdisciplinary collaboration, service learning, and study abroad with nursing students.
