Metropolitan State University is seeking applicants for a full-time, fixed-term, nine-month faculty position in the School of Nursing (SON) for fall semester 2014 and spring semester 2015. The position includes teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs and will focus on clinical education. Candidates are expected to be committed to holistic nursing practice, multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body.
Teaching nursing courses (clinical and theory) in a variety of formats including on-line.Assisting with coordination and oversight of pre-licensure clinical experiences.Promoting a multicultural perspective in the development of SON curricula and college activities.Participating in college and university governance and committee activities.
Master’s in nursing.At least two years nursing experience in an acute care setting.Eligibility for Minnesota RN licensure.Demonstrated ability to work within diverse communities.
An earned doctorate in nursing or closely related field.Experience in teaching undergraduate or graduate nursing students in a variety of formats.Experience utilizing a holistic nursing framework.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with education and experience, and is determined by the salary placement process as outlined in the Inter Faculty Organization (IFO) Master Agreement
