POSITION: Nursing AD Instructors (two positions)
APPOINTMENT: Permanent Full-time – Austin based

START DATE: Fall Semester (August 2014)
DESCRIPTION: This is an opportunity to help contribute to a "best in class" nursing program. As a member of the Minnesota Alliance for Nursing Education (MANE) Riverland Community College will be admitting the first cohort of nursing students fall semester 2014 to a new and innovative educational environment. The students are dually admitted to RCC and Metro State University with an end goal of a BSN. A concept-based curriculum, high tech simulation labs, and diverse clinical experiences are all part of our new, innovative model for nursing education.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Full-time teaching responsibilities including day, evening, and/or weekend lecture, lab and clinical assignments in hospital and/or long-term care centers located in Austin-Albert Lea-Owatonna area. Other responsibilities include maintenance of professional expertise, college committees, curriculum development and evaluation within the nursing program, preparation and maintenance of NLNAC accreditation, and board review, program review, etc.
1. Master's degree with a major in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty; and
2. Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level; and
3. One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years; and
4. Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
SALARY: Based Upon Minnesota State College Faculty Contract
