Nurse Practice ManagerReference #: 038451 Position Information: This is a full time career position located in UC Davis Health System, Surgery and Plastic Surgery Clinics, with variable working hours Monday - Friday. This classification is not represented by a union.
This position is classified as an MSP IV with an annual salary range between $85,524 - $153,943.
Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Chair/Medical Director and the Ambulatory Clinical Operations Leadership, the Nurse Practice Manager is responsible for coordinating all the operational aspects of the practice. The Nurse Practice Manager is expected to provide visionary leadership in order to maximize the effectiveness of all service delivery systems and financial performance, and to cultivate a practice culture responsive to the health care environment.The Nurse Practice manager will directly manage a team, provide clinical and professional development while serving as a clinical expert and staff resource. Additionally, the Nurse Practice Manager will participate in strategic and clinical program planning and clinical quality improvement initiatives while being accountable for own practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements:--Experience in management and administration of a hospital-based primary care practice or specialty care practice required; surgical experience preferred--Knowledge of Joint Commission and Title 22 rules and regulations required--Strong leadership and personnel management skills required--Strong written and verbal communication skills required--Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, leadership, staff within and across departments required--Strong experience budgeting experience preferred
Special Requirements:--Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing BSN required, Masters preferred. MSN acceptable, if BS in other field. Possession of a current license as a registered nurse in the State of California.--Successful completion of the UCDMC Pharmacology and IV Therapy exams. Current CPR certification.--Position requires moving between various locations throughout the UCDHS Sacramento Campus; traveling between Primary Care Network locations and the UCDHS Sacramento Campus; working overtime and weekends as needed to complete work assignments and projects and attend to the needs of the clinic. --Must demonstrate ability in planning/implementing patient care taking into consideration protective interventions, development (behavioral and physical) and physiological characteristics specific to the clinic patient population.
