Full Time Day shift 7 am - 7 pm
The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing nursing/medical inpatient/outpatient services of Hospital within the scope of practice of licensure and as outlined in the Collaborative Practice Agreement and :

  • Responsible for eliciting patient histories and conducting comprehensive evaluations.
  • Ordering, conducting and interpreting appropriate diagnostic testing.
  • Generating and implementing therapeutic interventions.
  • Teaching and counseling patients, families and staff as needed.
  • Specific age groups are identified in the position responsibilities.
  • Adheres to Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
  • Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Skill in the use of specialized equipment used in respective area of practice.
2. Experience with intra-ventricular device monitoring, drainage and management
3. Clinical management of neurosurgical and neurological patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
4. Clinical management and knowledge of the AHA Stroke Management Patient Care Guidelines

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • ARNP in collaborative practice with Neurosurgeon.
  • Experience with endovascular patient management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of school of nursing
  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Current advanced practice registration with Florida State Board of Nursing.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certification

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing.
  • Current advanced practice registration with Florida State Board of Nursing
