Mgr I Demand Management
Responsible for supervising the administrative responsibilities for the 24/7 telephonic nurse triage function which provides appropriate health information to assist callers in making healthcare decisions. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Resolves more complex calls. Coordinates with other internal departments in resolving issues. Oversees nursing staff to ensure business unit performance and operational procedure standards are met. Supervises workflow, delegates work, evaluates performance, and assists manager with conducting performance assessments. Serves as subject matter expert for team on a shift. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for assigned functional areas. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Mgr II Demand Management:
Responsible for managing the National 24/7 telephonic nurse triage staff and functions for medical management programs. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Manages the staff responsible for monitoring and maintaining performance and quality standards in the area of telephonic information nursing. Ensures fair and appropriate resolution of member/provider issues. Participates in the ongoing development and refinement of departmental metrics and standards. Identifies needs for and participates in the development of policies, procedures or operational guidelines within the functional area. Maintains and supports documentation necessary to successfully meet URAC accreditation standards, as well as regulatory and corporate needs. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Mgr I Demand Management:
Requires a BS in nursing; 4 years of clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Current unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s) required.
Requires a BA/BS in business, nursing or related field; 7 years of clinical/functional area experience, including 2 years of managed care with 2 years of supervisory experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Current unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s) required.
