POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
The Queensborough Community College Department of Nursing, the largest supplier of registered nurses to the county of Queens, is seeking a highly qualified nurse educator to join our distinguished and dynamic faculty.
Duties:
Teach clinical and lecture content in Mental Health/Psychiatric and Community Health Nursing, with the expectation of research and publication for tenure and promotion. Other areas of responsibility include curriculum development, committee work in the Department and College and academic advisement. The ideal candidate must be able to work in either the day or evening program as needed by the department.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Required: Earned Master’s degree in Nursing and licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Strong current clinical background in Psychiatric and Community Health Nursing and excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred: Experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing; teaching experience at the Associate or Baccalaureate degree level; demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
