The University of Akron School of Nursing, part of the new College of Health Professions, is a vibrant and diverse learning community. The School is seeking an Instructor to teach predominantly in the Graduate Program and is responsible for teaching in the Advance Practice Track within the School of Nursing. Service to the School of Nursing and other constituencies relevant to the mission of the organization, and for scholarship related to the practice of nursing, the nursing profession, or the education of nurses is part of faculty responsibility. The Instructor needs to be effective teaching within both the classroom and clinical environments. The position requires a current RN license in Ohio, earned doctorate in Nursing (PhD preferred) and must be able to meet the requirements for graduate faculty status. In addition, this person will have Advanced Practice Certification. Preference will be given for an individual with prior teaching experience.
