GENERAL DESCRIPTION:The starting salary range for this position is $42,050.00-53,550.00 depending on education and experience. This position is on a 9 month contract.
Under the direction of the Department Head of Associate Degree Nursing Program, the Instructor shall be responsible for formal classroom instruction of the student in the theory, demonstration, and supervision of professional nursing skills and supervision of nursing care administered by the student during clinical experiences.
REQUIREMENTS:This position requires a Master’s Degree in Nursing, Master’s Degree in Nursing in Progress with a minimum of 50% of degree plan complete with ability to complete Master’s Degree within one year or Master’s Degree in field other than nursing and Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with at least six (6) semester hours of graduate content in nursing appropriate to teaching responsibilities. A current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas is required. A demonstrated current knowledge, clinical expertise, and safety in subject area of teaching responsibility are also required. This position required the person to be qualified through academic preparation and/or clinical experience to teach curriculum assignments. The person in this position must be able to communicate effectively in a teaching environment with both groups and individuals. A criminal background check is required.
