Job Description:
Pima Community College is seeking applicants for Instructional Faculty in the discipline of NURSING.
Primary duties are to teach courses in Nursing with an emphasis in Medical/Surgical,
Maternal, Child/Pediatrics, or Mental Health nursing to a diverse student population. Faculty will be required to provide instruction in community clinical environments. Additional duties and responsibilities are available at www.pima.edu/pimajobs. Select the Instruction link.
SALARY and BENEFITS: Initial annual salary effective July 1, 2008 is based on education and experience and is from $53,589 for Masters and two years experience to $75,017 for Doctorate and more than twelve years experience based on the nursing faculty salary schedule for fiscal year 2008/2009 for a nine-month academic year contract. Relocation benefits available for out of county candidates which include three months of rental assistance up to $1,000 per month and moving expenses. Fringe benefits include medical, dental, life and income protection insurance, sick leave, state or optional retirement plan, professional enrichment monies, and flexible medical and dependent care spending accounts.
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Nursing; 2 current Arizona R.N. license in good standing or multi-state privilege to practice in Arizona; and, 3. Two years recent experience, within the last five years, as a professional nurse providing direct patient care.
