Responsible for initiating services to newly diagnosed patients requiring chemotherapy. Develops a detailed plan of care focused on educating the patient and family on designated treatment regimen and side effect management. Serves as point of contact for physicians and other team members partnering to provide care assuring care is of high quality and administered efficiently. This nurse has advanced knowledge of cancer care and is highly skilled in working with cancer patients and their families.
