GENERAL DUTIES
Performs teaching, research, and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise as noted below. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments, performing administrative, supervisory, and other functions as may be assigned.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The WR Hearst Professor of Clinical Nursing will be a leader in developing the evidence base for 21st century nursing and translating that evidence into practice and education at the baccalaureate and masters degree programs. Appointment and salary will be at the Associate Professor or Professor level, based on the successful applicant's portfolio of research, publication and clinical practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of expertise, or equivalent as noted below. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, interest in productive scholarship or creative achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
An earned doctorate in nursing (PhD, DNS or DNP) with clinical preparation at the master's level or above are required; certification in advanced practice specialty preferred. Preference will be given to a scholar who has demonstrated work that advances knowledge and practice with populations of particular concern in a complex urban environment, including underserved populations as defined by ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, language, economic or immigration status.

COMPENSATION
Commensurate with academic background and experience.
