Northeasten University's School of Nursing, Bouvé College of Health Sciences, is seeking candidates for full-time, tenure-track faculty to conduct research and teach in one of the following areas: adult health, pediatrics, psychiatric-mental health, or urban health nursing.
Responsibilities include participation in the development, instruction and evaluation of courses in the baccalaureate, master and doctoral nursing programs, academic advising, and developing a strong research agenda and expertise in grant writing. The incumbent will fully participate in School of Nursing and Bouve College of Health Sciences faculty meetings and serve on faculty committees. The appointment begins in the fall of 2009 and is dependent upon final university approval and funding. The appointment will be at the assistant professor level.
Qualifications for these positions require: (1) A degree in nursing and earned doctorate in nursing or related field (2) eligible for RN licensure in MA (3) evidence of beginning program of research and scholarship suitable for junior rank, (4) an excellent record of college teaching in an area of adult health nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric-mental health nursing, or urban health nursing (5) demonstrated experience and commitment to supporting a diverse faculty, staff and student environment.
Bouvé College of Health Sciences comprises the School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and School of Health Professions, affording many opportunities for interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching. Bouvé is also home to the Institute on Urban Health Research and the Center for Community Health Educations and Research (CCHERS), a network of 15 academic health centers in Boston.
