Job Description:

Coordinator of Diversity Support Services

The Coordinator of Diversity Support Services will mentor/advise as well as coordinate planned retention activities for Bring Diversity to Nursing (BDN) enrolled students. This will include providing academic support by attending classes, conducting class and exam reviews, determining the pool of candidates who meet eligibility, and planning and implementing various extracurricular social/cultural nursing events. The successful
applicant will be a Master’s prepared nurse with Massachusetts RN license. A minimum of 2 years’ full-time nursing experience is required. Bilingual skills necessary. This position is a half-time benefited position.

Minority Nurse Recruiter

The Minority Nurse Recruiter assists the Pre-Entry Coordinator with recruitment of middle school and high school students into nursing and 4-year educational preparation at UML. This will include planning programs and coordinating activates with the Young Scholars and College Prep Program and other organizations, developing various educational promotional materials for middle-school and high-school programs, and participating in on-site weekly or biweekly admissions recruitment sessions and career fairs. A BS in Nursing is required, as is an active Massachusetts RN license. A minimum 2 years’ full-time nursing experience is a must. Bilingual/bicultural skills necessary; Khmer preferred. This is a part-time non benefited position.

Project Administrator

The Project Administrator provides administrative support for the operation of all aspects of the BDN project. This includes recruitment, pre-entry, retention, financial reporting, faculty development, and cultural awareness activities. The individual hired will coordinate various BDN project activities, organizing, planning and facilitating project meetings, and assisting the Faculty Co-Investigator Liaisons with outreach activities and job shadowing of pre-entry students. A Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience as a Project Administrator or Executive Secretary, preferably in an academic or non-profit environment, required, plus a minimum of one year in a grant-management administrative role. Competency with Windows programs including Office and Publisher required. The Project Administrator is a full-time benefited position.
