The University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks applicants for Nursing faculty positions in a dynamic and stimulating academic environment. Applicants will have the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and have experience teaching university or college-based students.
Tenure Track Assistant Professor
The Assistant Professor will teach in the undergraduate and/or graduate programs. This is a full-time, benefited position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications: Current Massachusetts RN license or eligibility for RN licensure in Massachusetts. Research-focused doctorate (PhD, DNS, DNSc) in nursing or an equivalent academic doctorate from a non-nursing discipline (EdD, PsyD, ScD) (must have doctoral degree by the time of appointment). The successful applicant will be engaged in scholarly activities and research, with a commitment to sustain an externally funded program of research. Commitment to develop and sustain an externally funded program of research. Excellent oral and written skills in English are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Preparation as an Advanced Practice Nurse with national certification in an area of specialty expertise. Experience teaching a diverse student population. Experience in interprofessional collaborations in research or other scholarly activities.
Non-Tenure Track Lecturer
The University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks applicants to fill the position of a non-tenure track Nursing Lecturer. The non-tenure track lecturer position will be equally engaged in both teaching and service to the department based on strategic needs. The successful applicant will be experienced teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels (MS, DNP). Clinical supervision may be included in the required duties. A major component of the role of lecturer includes service, based on the strategic needs of the department. This is a full-time, benefited position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications: Current Massachusetts RN license or eligibility for RN licensure in Massachusetts; MS in Nursing; experience in teaching a diverse student population at the undergraduate or graduate levels; the ability to work effectively with diverse groups; excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications: Preparation as an Advanced Practice Nurse with national certification in an area of specialty expertise; experience with simulation technology; research-based doctorate (PhD, DNS, DNSc) or clinical-based doctorate (DNP); doctorates in non-nursing specialties will also be considered (EdD, PsyD).
