Join us in our exciting new initiatives in Developing Leaders and Changing Health Care. We are seeking faculty who have a record of scholarship and a commitment to students and to improving health care. Qualifications for assistant, associate and professor positions include earned doctorate in Nursing or a related field. Qualifications for instructor and lecturer include master’s in nursing or related field. Applicants with a degree in nursing must be eligible for an RN license in Ohio. PROFESSOR

Responsibilities: Clinical and/or theoretical instruction in baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral programs. Doctoral preparation, research and sustained scholarly productivity are necessary.
Qualifications: Graduate preparation in nursing, clinical competence in a nursing specialty area, teaching excellence, and doctoral degree required. Recognition as a scholar and specialist in nursing. Substantive publication in refereed journals, consultation to prestigious institutions, honors and election to scientific bodies, and recognized leadership and influence in field of expertise evidenced by funded grants and authorship.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Responsibilities: Clinical and/or theoretical instruction in baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral programs. Doctoral preparation, research and sustained scholarly productivity are necessary.
Qualifications: Graduate preparation in nursing and doctoral degree required. Clinical competence in a nursing specialty area required. Teaching excellence, research growth and practice competence required. Contributions to the profession and/or the community desirable. Evidence of academic leadership and scholarly productivity.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Responsibilities: Clinical and/or theoretical instruction in baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral programs. For those seeking tenure, doctoral preparation and research are necessary.
Qualifications: Graduate preparation in nursing required. Doctoral degree recommended for all positions, required for some. Clinical competence in a nursing specialty area required. Teaching, research and practice experiences desirable. Evidence of beginning scholarly productivity.

INSTRUCTOR

Responsibilities: Clinical and/or theoretical instruction in baccalaureate and master’s programs.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing with preparation as an advanced practice nurse. Evidence of competence in the practice of nursing and in teaching. Recognized professional expertise and leadership in a specialty area.

LECTURER – Special Faculty (Non-Tenure)

Responsibilities: Theoretical instruction in baccalaureate and master’s programs.
Qualifications: Graduate preparation in nursing or related fields. Teaching, research and practice experience desirable.
