Slippery Rock University is seeking applicants for a full time tenure track faculty position in the Nursing Department beginning August, 2009 at a rank commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications: Doctorate in Nursing or related filed required at time of employment. MSN and current licensure to practice nursing are required. Experience as a nurse educator with distance education experience preferred. The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to the education of diverse populations. Successful performance in an on-campus interview, including teaching demonstration is required.

Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate students in an NLNAC accredited RN to BSN Completion Program utilizing a web-based, online curriculum, academic advisement, participate in departmental, university, and community service, and establish a record of scholarship. Areas of particular content interest are related to the post-baccalaureate School Nurse Certification Program and leadership.
