The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for an Education Specialist position for the Nursing Department. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio, located in Blue Ash, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 6100 students. The Associate Degree Nursing Program has both a traditional RN and a LPN-RN program. This position will interact will all members of the faculty, staff and student body. The candidate must be able to manage a lab, have simulation experience, and be able to coordinate clinical experiences with clinical agencies. The candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule during peak times. Normal work hours vary.
Job Description: Under general supervision from a designated administrator, implement and evaluate the educational activities for, and participate in meeting the educational needs of the assigned clinical area. (Assist with demonstration, practice, remediation, reinforcement, skills review, simulation, and clinical make-up days in skills lab. Assist in the Nursing Department undergraduate program).
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience. Degree must be a BSN from an accredited program. Valid licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio. Experience must include at least 2 years of hands-on patient care.
Position Qualification: Registered Nurse with a minimum of a Masters of Science Degree in Nursing with Simulation experience (required), have a valid license as a registered nurse in Ohio with a minimum of 3 years in nursing experience, which must include at least 2 years of clinical patient care. Must have experience in managing a lab, simulation, and clinical coordination experience.
Ideal Qualifications: Master of Science in Nursing with simulation experience, previous lab management, and clinical coordination responsibility.
