DSC Primary Stroke and Cardiovascular Reviewer
Reviewers fulfill assigned functions in disease-specific care ("DSC") programs throughout the United States. Provides general evaluation services, education, and consultation consistent with applicable Joint Commission standards, policies, and protocols. Determines the degree of compliance with applicable standards.
Master's prepared RN or Board Certified MD/DO. Current licensure and/or certification as required for professional discipline (when required by law). Seeking health care professionals specializing in both Stroke and Cardiac care. Candidates must have five (5) years recent clinical experience with at least three (3) years recent clinical experience in the care of patients with disease states such as treating primary stroke and implementing Primary Stroke Centers, acute myocardial infarction and heart failure which includes two (2) years of demonstrated responsibility for program oversight, decision-making, management and improvement. Demonstrated knowledge of the industry quality initiatives, including process improvement trends, performance measurement and implementation strategies. Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required. Advanced Nurse Practitioners welcomed. Full time, part time and intermittent status available. Part time positions require two (2) or three (3) weeks per month of availability and intermittent positions require two (2) consecutive business days per month. 100% nationwide travel required. Training scheduled to begin January 23, 2014.
