The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) College of Nursing invites applications, nominations and inquiries for the position of Donald L. Ross Endowed Chair for Advanced Nursing Practice. The faculty member in this position will expand the educational opportunities in advanced nursing practice and will build and sustain a program of extramurally funded research and/or educational programmatic funding in partnership with BJC HealthCare. She/he will teach students in his or her area of expertise and supervise doctoral dissertations and capstone projects related to advanced nursing practice focusing on translational research and clinical innovation related to coordinating and providing care for patient populations. The person holding the Donald L. Ross Endowed Chair for Advanced Nursing Practice will participate in community service activities related to advancing nursing practice, translational research and population-based clinical innovation. This position is intended to advance the clinical partnership between the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Nursing and BJC HealthCare service organizations to expand education for advanced nursing practice, facilitate translational research and practice related to health and population-based nursing outcomes, and clinical innovation. The person holding the Donald L. Ross Endowed Chair is expected to support the practice-related educational needs of students in the translation of research to practice, outcomes research, and clinical innovation. The person holding the Donald L. Ross Endowed Chair will expand the joint research program between the College of Nursing and BJC HealthCare in advanced nursing practice.
