Education: Graduate from accredited school of nursing, advanced education preparation. Bachelor's Degree required.
Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin; CPR certification.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of staff nursing with clinical proficiency in assigned areas. Previous management experience.
Physical Requirements: Good general physical and mental health with sight and hearing correctable to normal. Ability to endure considerable mental stress working under moderate to heavy pressure. Lifting - frequently up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Moderate amounts of stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and reaching.
Working Conditions: Prolonged standing and walking. Exposed to patient elements. Handle emergencies and incidents.
The Director of Family Birth Center plans, directs and supervises all functions and activities reporting to him/her. Interprets and implements policies, procedures, standards and regulations to staff, patients, medical staff and public. Exerts leadership in assisting the staff to make decisions and coordinate the overall activities. Responsible for staffing and, if the need arises, may function as staff nurse. Demonstrates commitment to patient and employee engagement and shared decision making. Will be accountable for creating and sustaining an environment of safety for employees, patients and visitors.
