Flagstaff Medical Center has an outstanding leadership opportunity available for an experienced nursing professional. Management and oversight for the critical care service lines includes the cardiovascular intensive and critical care units and acute hemo-dialysis. As Director you will provide leadership to nursing personnel of critical care services and be directly accountable to the VP, Nursing Services, CNO. You will assist in the development of standards, policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, performance improvement goals, operational budget and capital budgets for each specific unit. Responsible for coordinating hiring and maintaining accountability for the evaluation of the performance of qualified staff consistent with their levels of education and expertise, practice in a pro-active manner within ethical parameters of nursing, assuming and accountable role in change and those functions as delegated.
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required and a Master's degree in Nursing Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration or a related field is required. Two years of management experience in the acute care environment are required. This position requires a current Arizona RN license, BLS and ACLS.
