The Department of Nursing at the University of Vermont is seeking a dynamic and committed tenure track faculty member in the Adult Nurse Practitioner concentration. This 9 month position begins in August 2013, with an appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor, depending on qualifications. Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in nursing or a related field; doctoral candidates and DNPs with substantial research success will be considered. Clinical excellence, eligibility for Vermont licensure and certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, as well as demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion are essential. Responsibilities include research and scholarship, grantsmanship, teaching, clinical practice, student advising, and service to the University. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to work independently and cooperatively within and across departments; a history of extramural funding is highly desirable. Research foci of the department include social-behavioral factors related to health; workforce development; health care quality; and ethical dimensions of health and health care.
