WSU invites you to join our Community of Learners as an Associate or Full Professor and Department Chair for the Nursing Department. This position is a probationary/tenure-track appointment starting July-August 2014. Duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to: 1) serving as Department Chair following official appointment in accordance with Article 20 of the IFO bargaining agreement (http://ifo.org/contract-benefits/contract/view-by-article-11-13; 2) providing department leadership; 3) providing classroom instruction; 4) completing accrediting and licensing agency surveys in cooperation with the faculty and dean; and 5) working with local, state, and national external agencies and organizations and the Department of Nursing Advisory Committee to promote the Department of Nursing and to facilitate meeting the programs’ outcomes.
Minimum requirements for this position are: 1) Doctorate in nursing or related field; 2) Master’s in Nursing from a CCNE or NLN accredited program required with clinical expertise according to Minnesota statutes; 3) At least three years experience in collegiate nursing education; 4) Leadership/management experience in nursing; and 5) Licensed as a Registered Nurse with current registration or eligible for licensure in MN and WI
