Position SummaryDominican University of California is seeking to fill a full-time (12 month), tenure-track position at the Associate or Full Professor level in the Department of Nursing, School of Health and Natural Sciences. This position commences on July 1, 2014. The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will include administrative leadership in the Nursing Department and undergraduate and/or graduate teaching in the held area of specialty based on program needs. Tenure and promotion requirements for tenure-track faculty include teaching, scholarship, and service. Opportunities exist for research and teaching collaboration with the faculty.
The Department of Nursing, BRN and CCNE accredited, in the School of Health and Natural Sciences, offers both a Bachelor and Master’s of Science degrees in Nursing. Nursing is the largest program on campus comprised of a very diverse student body (>65% of the students are ethnically diverse and many are first-generation college educated).
