Job Description:
Triton College, a comprehensive two year institution located in a near western suburb of Chicago, is seeking a College Nurse to attend to the immediate medical needs of the college community through treatment, health teaching, referrals, health screening and educational programs.
Specific duties include:
- Receives students, faculty and staff for medical attention, consultation or evaluation/screening.
- Checks medical records of all enrolled students and notes special health student's needs.
- Completes worker's compensation claims and accident reports according to Occupational Health and Safety Act guidelines.
- Gives physician/health care referrals to students and staff.
- Conducts blood pressure and administer TB skin test.
- Assists campus police with emergency first aid calls.
- Completes all paper works for billings when students and staff are seen by College physician.
- Process athletic billing through College's athletic insurance company.
- Provides information in order to assist Health Career students complete physical examination forms, reviews them and issues verification cards for clinical practice.
- Provides Health and wellness information to students and staff.
- Issues handicap parking permits.
- Notes health and safety problems and makes recommendations.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintains records & reports
Qualified candidate must possess a RN license and Health Care Provider CPR.
