Responsible and accountable to the Department Director for the coordination and effective operation of the unit on the assigned shift. Performs duties in nursing capacity as needed and qualified. Responsible for compliance with overall nursing practice standards of the specialty area. Uses established principles of delegation and supervision to direct the activities of all licensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff in the delivery of patient care during their assigned shift. Uses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources .
Education: ADN or Diploma in Nursing program required. BSN preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in specialty area preferred . One (1) year in supervisory capacity preferred.
Skills: Interview others; Team facilitation & meeting skills
Licenses/Certifications: Current Arizona RN license. BLS required. ACLS required for : ED, Urgent Care, ICU, Telemetry, ACT, PACU, GI, Cath Lab, Women's Center. PALS or ENPC required for: ED, PACU, Women's center, Urgent Care
