Nursing Clinical Coordinator Faculty Position
Missouri State University invites applications for one full-time, 9-month Clinical Instructor position in the Department of Nursing for August 1, 2014. Our growing and vibrant Department offers the following community-based programs: 4-year BSN, RN to BSN (online), a Master of Science in Nursing –Nurse Educator (online); and a new DNP with a focus on community leadership and health disparities (BSN to DNP as Family Nurse Practitioner and Post-Masters DNP- online). All programs, except the DNP are CCNE accredited, with DNP site visit planned. The motivated, energetic faculty have developed multidisciplinary and global health collaborations, a nursing center and NP clinic that delivers health care to the homeless and uninsured, and a simulation laboratory; and have received numerous awards for teaching, research, and service. The Nursing Department is home to 18 faculty, 500 pre-nursing students, over 250 nursing undergraduates, and 50 graduate students.

One position for full-time 9-month clinical instructor responsible for coordination of all undergraduate clinical experiences and skills labs in the Department of Nursing. The Coordinator collaborates with the BSN Program Director, faculty, and the Simulation Laboratory Coordinator to ensure that all clinical and skills lab experiences promote achievement of the educational objectives of the BSN courses and program. The Clinical Coordinator plans experiences that provide quality learning outcomes by providing supervised opportunities for learning and practicing skills in the skills labs, instructing students in techniques and procedures, and monitoring and evaluating their performance. The Clinical Coordinator serves as the liaison with external acute care clinical sites and agencies, and collaborates with faculty in securing and scheduling community clinical sites and agencies. Also the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the BSN Skills Laboratory equipment and inventory of supplies is secured and maintained. The position requires some teaching and service.
