Clinical Instructor (4) Positions

The University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) Nursing Department invites applicants for full-time positions in the growing and expanding CCNE-accredited baccalaureate and master's nursing programs to start Fall 2013. UTPA is located in the agriculturally rich semitropical Rio Grande Valley, 20 miles from Mexico and 70 miles from the sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. UTPA is 2nd in the nation for the number of bachelor's degrees and 4thfor the number of master's degrees awarded to Hispanics. This fast growing, multicultural region offers unique opportunities for research and practice.

All positions require a minimum of a master's degree in nursing and licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas prior to assuming the position. Additional requirements are listed with each position’s description. Duties may include teaching students in classrooms, simulated laboratories, and clinical settings. Additional efforts in professional achievement and professional service are expected, and experience working with ethnically diverse populations is advantageous. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications and contingent upon funding availability.
 

Clinical Instructor (3 Year Appointment)
Preferred qualifications include at least 2 years of clinical experience and previous teaching at the baccalaureate and/or graduate level(s). Position is renewable contingent upon reauthorization and funding.
